Starting off in the mountains and later heading into the Caribbean lowlands, this trip focuses on locating the top targets across two completely different eco-regions. With expert guides leading day and night field excursions, you'll explore diverse ecosystems teeming with life, offering incredible opportunities for photography, research, and unforgettable encounters in the wild.

During the day we will have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in Caribbean culture in the popular beach towns of Cahuita and Puerto Viejo. From kayaking through coastal rainforests to playing volleyball with the locals, this expedition has got it all.

The Amazon’s best kept secret

Join us for an unforgettable 10-day expedition deep into South-America’s best kept secret, the Surinamese Amazon, where we explore one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth in search of some of the most iconic reptiles. Our main targets include the elusive Green Anaconda (Eunectes murinus), the Emerald Tree Boa (Corallus caninus), South American Bushmaster (Lachesis muta), the two-lined Forest Pit Viper (Bothrops bilineatus), many species of coral snakes and endless species of colubrids.

Guided by experienced herpetologists and local experts, this immersive journey offers thrilling night hikes, river explorations, and the chance to encounter rare and spectacular wildlife in their natural habitat.

During the days we will be hiking for diurnals, swimming in natural ponds and exploring waterfalls looking for more incredible species like Hoogmoed’s Harlequin Frog (Atelopus hoogmoedi).

Discover the incredible herpetofaunal diversity of Ecuador on this 10-day expedition across three distinct biomes: the Amazon Rainforest, the cloud forests of Mindo, and the lush Chocó Rainforest. This unique itinerary offers the chance to encounter a wide range of species, including good locations to spot the seldom seen Speckled Forest-Pitviper (Bothrops taeniatus), the South-American Bushmaster (Lachesis muta), Peruvian Rainbow Boas (Epicrates cenchria), a good shot at the extremely rare Pinocchio Anole (Anolis proboscis), and much more. and if we are lucky, we might even catch a glimpse of the Chocóan Bushmaster (Lachesis acrochorda).

From misty mountain trails to steamy lowland jungles, this action packed therping trip across three different regions is the real deal.
